Free Korean lessons you practice out loud

Korean Shadowing Radio makes videos for practicing Korean out loud. What you see here is a free sample set of 35 videos covering Level 1 to 5 — for each level, one vocabulary video, five episodes and one review. Every study sentence is played four times: normal, slow, normal, normal, leaving you a pause to say it yourself. These are an early version, so some rough edges remain; if you notice something we could do better, we would be glad to hear it.

⚠ Please note: Speech Style A videos are built from words and sentences at Levels 1–3, while Speech Style B videos are at Levels 4–5. The two groups are not the same difficulty, so please keep this in mind as you listen.
About the language of the lessons: the videos themselves are spoken in Korean, with Korean and English subtitles on screen. Only this page and the survey are available in your language.

How it works

  1. Free sample lessons from Korean Shadowing Radio, covering Level 1 to 5.
  2. Tap a video's thumbnail to open it on YouTube.
    • In each video, every Korean study sentence is played four times — normal, slow, normal, normal.
    • Watch a few videos and try shadowing — during the pause between sentences, say aloud the sentence you just heard to practice.
You don't need to watch all 35 — pick your level (give or take one), shadow 3–5 episodes there, then sample just 1–2 videos from the other style group for the voice comparison.
    • Each level also has a vocabulary video with every word from Episodes 1-5 — watching it first makes the episodes easier.
  3. Notice how much the lessons help you learn — clear, easy to follow, and paced well for repeating.
  4. The lessons come in two voice styles — Style A (Levels 1–3) and Style B (Levels 4–5). Notice which you prefer.
  5. If you have a few minutes afterwards, tell us how it went in the survey — your answers shape what we make next.
